American Crafts Challenge

Hi,
I have been working on a LO which I would like to share with you. Last sunday I read about the American Crafts Challenge to make a LO using three different alphabets from AC. I love to work with Thickers so I figured to give this challenge a try? The Thickers that I used for this LO are Daiquiri, Cappuccino & Platforms. Don't you just love them. I rememberd that I still had some beautifull pictures of my husband and children painting Easter eggs, so that's how I chose my topic. Below a few details. I wonder what you think of it. Scrap-a-licious 2009

Last friday I attended the Scrap-a-licious event in Veghel organised by Corinne Delis. I only went on friday : ( , wish I could have been there all weekend. Below a few pics of the things we created. We had a workshop from Dina Wakely (How to work with Spray Ink), second was a workshop with Martha Bonneau (Altering Books), third was making a mini-book with fabulous free-styler Corinne and last but not least was supposed to be a workshop card making by Nancy van den Berg, but unfortunately Nancy wasn't able to be there. Corinne replaced her and did a great job!! When following Dina's workshop, she did a little lottery. It was the first time since ever that I won a prize: Some fabulous Sheer Overlays from Hambly's Yeeeeeeehhh!!!! Looking at my work what I made last friday I have to conclude that I'm not really good at free-styling. I love the style, but I'm nog very good at it. The way that Dina and Corinne make something beautifull just in a few minutes is really awsome, but when I try to make something just in a few minutes it ends up very messy!!

This card was my favourite.

I also met some new nice scrapbookers who are just as addicted as I am. It was great to be around you girls! Thanks 4 the nice day! Maybe will meet again some other event?? Busy busy busy beeeeeeee???

I read the challenge of Papertake weekly and the challenge of 2Sketches4U and I figured why not try to take them both on in one card! Well below you can see the result of this idea. I hope you like it. Yesterday I went to several fabulous workshops from Magnolia organised by Paper and Pictures together with my mother (I'm so proud of her!!!) It was our birthday present to her and second best I could join her so we had a girls day out! Absolutely fantastic to have participated. Also met some very inspiring and interesting people like Moon, Jolanda, Miranda, Truike etc. It was great to meat them. Learned a lot, and I was able to buy heeps of goodies. Thanks for a great day! I've got to go now still have a family to take care of! Hope to see you soon!

A few creations finished, more to come....

Hi, although I had to go to 2 birthdays this weekend and a baby shower, I was able to manage to make the following scraps of my beautifull husband and children. I'm not ready yet, because I still have some marvellous pictures left to scrap to go with the nice papers from Pebbles Inc. I hope I can post it soon. Meanwhile I also want to try to attend to a few challenges I've seen, so I'ld better get on with it. Time flies when your having fun. Hope to see you seen!
